“Free Solo” is a term used in the extreme sports of climbing without ropes. Without any safety, the climber only has one chance to get it right or risk falling to his death. Similarly, Michael Opitz has only one chance to get the blend right. Nothing can be undone after blending! The “Free Solo” is a blend of Traminer and Muscat Ottonel with 5% of Pinot Gris. Each grape was fermented in barrels before the blend and then aged one year in Acacia and used French barriques.
